Hey there fellow book nerd!

I'm a book blogger in the internet world who reviews books of both YA and New Adult (and occasionally Adult) fiction genres. These consist of mainly: fantasy + sci-fi, steampunk, paranormal romance, and historical fiction. I have been entranced with reading fictional novels and fantasized living in fictional worlds ever since I was a young child. Scope out my page where I blog about anything and everything related to bookish culture!

LIFE UPDATE

I thought it was time to give you the 411 going on with me!

If you haven’t caught up with my latest newsletter, then you haven’t heard that I recently lost my job. It was a hard pill to swallow and sometimes I feel like I’m still taking it day by day, but for the most part, I think I’m through the rough patch. It’s not easy going through change, especially for me. Not sure if that qualifies as a mid-life crisis? *shrugs* Either way, I’ve been able to tough it out thanks to my lovely husband who works 60+ hours every week. I wouldn’t have been able to survive without him!

So not only that - I have the thought of me turning the big 3-0 this year in April! 😲

And if I’m being honest with myself...I really don’t feel like it. 🤷

I’ve always looked young, feel young, and act young so really, it’s just a number! If you’re in your late 20s please don’t look at 30 as being this big daunting life event. It’s just a milestone and as I’ve gotten older life has only gotten better. Just keep your chin up buttercup!

The only thing that 30 makes me think of is that I’ll have to have kids soon. Unfortunately, the biological clock is ticking, more so because women on both sides of my family have had to have hysterectomies so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’ll be me one day. Therefore that means kids will possibly be in my near future! And that’s okay because I want our family to grow and I want mini mes and mini hubbies running around filling our lives with joy.

Lastly, I want to bring up my grandpa’s passing. It was a devastating loss and I still feel it deep in my core to this day, but it’s taught me that life is short. Life should not be wasted.

I’m also going to start trying to be on social media less and be more intentional with who I follow on there. I just went through a huge detox and unfollowed like 400 accounts because they weren’t fulfilling my time with purpose. I’ll only be following accounts that inspire me. <3

BOOK BLOG

I’ve come up with a new blog post schedule and I think it’s one that should work for me for the most part.

I’ll be sharing weekly every Thursday, hopefully at 7:00 AM so it gives people more time to read it at their leisure if that’s what they enjoy doing while getting ready for work/school.

Topics I’ll be covering: YA book news/releases, tips, bookish creator tools and resources, #girlboss, mind/body/soul, mental health, and positive vibes. ✌️

Book coverage will be mainly YA fantasy and romance books. If you follow me on my Instagram you will have been updated on that!

BOOKCAST (PODCAST)

I’m hoping to eventually relaunch my book podcast! Due to recent events, that has put a delay on it and I want to dedicate enough time to this project to do it justice. I’ll be talking about the same topics as I share on my blog, but will be on a more close/intimate medium for you to get to know me!

As of right now my plans are that I will publish a podcast bi-weekly once I do launch it, if I have more news or changes I shall let you know!

BOOKISH NEWSLETTER

For the most part, my newsletters will be the same, but mainly on YA fantasy/romance and whatever else I fancy. The newsletter will probably be changing to more of a monthly sequence - this will give me more time to cover other topics on my blog/podcast and share more with you over on my socials! Besides, there’s only one of me. Putting a weekly letter out was dragging me down so be sure to sign up for it and lookout for the next one!

BOOKSTAGRAM

I felt so bogged down with the thought of doing an aesthetic and plus that’s soooo 2019; the IG will be filled with daily musings and in the moment snapshots of behind the scenes. I want to be as authentic as physically possible. And I’ll be sharing more news, updates, book birthdays, and alerts on the go! Make sure you go follow me and set yourself up to get notifications for new posts, stories, and dare I say IGTV/live videos (if I work myself up to it LOL XD)!?!

BOOKTUBE

I’m still pretty new to the whole recording myself and not being self-conscious about putting myself on video so this is still in experimentation mode. Maybe I’ll share my very first REAL Youtube video this year - only 2020 knows what it has in store for me!

Here’s to crushing our new year bookish goals! Please feel free to follow me along into this new decade because I have a feeling 2020 is going to be our best year yet. <3
